Here are a number of classified ads I collect each Sunday. The ads describe what skills, experience and education are required from applicants. The job title is listed in the two or three words of each ad.
Notice the importance of software skills. A business owner in a professional advisory meeting commented that they had to fire someone after a month because their computer skills were so slow, this demonstrated their lack of expertise in software usage. Their little experience they had in software was costing the business too much money. What was confusing for the business owner was that the new applicant had a BFA in design and was clearly talented in graphic design and illustration. What they learned is that all exceptional portfolios still need a timed test to execute the work for the interview process.
